 Grind King Trucks
All GK trucks are made in the USA and are guaranteed for life against axle slippage and kingpin breakage. In some cases truck hanger breakage is also warranted although this is determined on an individual basis with our warranty department.
Please note that we use the following:
- 356 aluminum heat-treated to T6 condition
- Aeronautical heat-grade 8 Kingpins
- Original diamond knurled non-slip 8740 chrom-moly steel axles with reduced-length rolled threads; able to reach tensile strengths up to 200000 psi. This particular aircraft alloy is stronger than the standard 1010/1020 and even stronger than the 4140 that some truck companies brag about.
- Precision drilled pivot, kingpin and mounting holes
- GK has always realized the importance of bushings and strives
to maintain the best possible urethane available; available from 90-97 durometer
- GK trucks are the lightest trucks out there: don't believe us - go weigh them yourselves!
- Geometry:
- GK mids are designed for quick response on all terrain, the slightly higher height helps them excel on ramps and in pools
- GK lows are also good for all terrain but are more suited for street riding
- AXL I/II are an advanced truck for both street and vert
- GK Jay Adams and Thunderbirds are a bit wider for pool or long boards but still have the quick turning response that is associated with all GK trucks
